Cyber Liability Expert Kimberly Holmes Joins ID Experts

Former One Beacon and Chubb Executive Brings Insurance and Legal Expertise in Core Market Segments

PORTLAND, Ore.— July 13, 2016 — ID Experts today announced that Kimberly Holmes, Esq. RPLU has joined the company as Senior Vice President and Counsel, Cyber Insurance, Liability and Emerging Risks. Holmes brings extensive legal and insurance experience including creating new product lines to meet increasing demands by clients to mitigate cyber risks. In this new role, Holmes will be responsible for overseeing cyber and insurance litigation developments across all domestic industry verticals, as well as the corresponding cyber liability and enforcement landscapes impacting the insurance industry overall and particularly the health care, financial, government, education and public/private commercial industry sectors.

“The combination of Kim’s legal background and demonstrated innovation in the cyber insurance industry will bring critical insights to our clients that must strategically plan and appropriately respond to the growing threats of a data breach,” commented Paul O’Mara, Executive Vice President of Sales and Services at ID Experts.

Holmes brings more than 17 years of experience in the specialty insurance industry, including almost 15 years with Chubb Specialty Insurance, serving in the capacities of Deputy Worldwide Health Care Product Manager, Health Care Cyber Product Manager and Senior Claim Attorney. Most recently, Kim served as Vice President, Product Development, for OneBeacon Insurance Group where she oversaw and managed the product development process on behalf of the Chief Underwriting Office for the company’s professional and management liability as well as general/casualty business divisions. Kim also provided ongoing technical guidance to senior

home office management and the corporate financial analysis director with respect to the evolving cyber liability landscape and corresponding exposure across OneBeacon’s various business lines and customer segments. Prior to her tenure in the insurance industry, Kim was an employment litigator with the national labor and employment law firm of Jackson Lewis LLP in Hartford, CT, where she represented management exclusively, taught employment law, and provided statewide management training on emerging employment laws. Kim is admitted to the Connecticut federal, state and Maine bar associations, is a member of the Connecticut Appellate Law Clerks Association, the American Bar Association Health Law section, and is a frequent speaker at national cyber and health care industry conferences and training events.

“The risks faced by organizations today need a customized combination of solutions and approaches, as the most impactful data breach response is not a “one size fits all” proposition,” said Holmes. “Joining ID Experts at this time is a tremendous opportunity, bringing my cyber liability, insurance and legal backgrounds to a growing organization that is transforming data breach response.”
