Company History
We founded ID Experts as Identity Safeguards in 2003 to address the growing
problem of identity theft in a very personal and caring way. Our initial focus
was on using best practices to provide a highly personal and effective approach
to recovery services for those that fall victim to identity theft.
Over the years, we have had the privilege to provide recovery services to
thousands of victims, and today provide identity theft recovery protection to
over 3 million Americans. As our presence in the industry has grown, so have
our spectrum of services. We have expanded our product line for individuals and
families to include protection, monitoring, insurance and advisory services, in
addition to recovery. With the launch of our latest release of this
FraudStop™ product, we provide the most comprehensive protection from
identity fraud, what we call 360-degree coverage.
We have also branched out to provide data breach response services to help
companies and the public sector address this growing issue. We have handled
data breaches for over 50 of America's largest and most successful
organizations and brands. We have served companies in healthcare, financial
services and other enterprises, as well as government agencies and
universities.
In 2007 we gained additional recognition, this time from the US federal
government. We are one of only two companies that have been issued blanket
purchase agreements by the US government General Services Administration (GSA)
to provide independent risk assessments for government agencies that experience
a data breach.
In 2008, we changed our name to ID Experts. We did this to better reflect the
expanded scope and nature of our business, and expertise that resides in our
organization and with our exceptional people.
